Semiprivate,
On Camera-Scene Study
For Teens & Adults
A
practical and inspirational course offered in a class or semi-private
setting. Three, two-hour sessions exploring screen acting preparation
and technique. We pair
you with an appropriate scene partner, (age/experience/skill) and
offer challenging, detailed and supportive coaching and instruction.
We encourage a deeper intuitive connection to the text using the
techinques and processes of
Sanford Meisner, Uta Hagen, Lee Strasberg,
Stella Adler, Viola Spolin, Larry Moss, Harold Guskin and
more. With the support of a sound preparation process applied to
compelling film & television scenes we create spontaneous, bold
& authentic on-camera work. This is proven, professional, insightful
and focused coaching, employing intuitive and analytical approaches,
encouraging the actor to risk and play as we explore the specific
demands of the intimate world of acting for the camera in a challenging
& supportive environment.
Developing
an intuitive connection to the text and applying the support of sound
analytical process preparation, and working with compelling film &
television scenes we explore the specific demands of the intimate
world of acting for the camera in a challenging & supportive environment.
The dual central focuses
of:
1. Preparation Technique: a blueprint, a formula of script analysis,
guideposts and hands on, Sanford Meisner training exercises; and
2. Prolonged, thorough, focused, on-camera time exploring screen acting
technique, is specifically geared for the young adult or teenaged
actor.
The scene work will be taped with supportive coaching, discussion
and demonstration and screened with critique, the DVD belongs to the
student for reference and review. The preparation techniques and coaching
are applied to targeted, compelling film & television scenes.
This series is a most appropriate match to the Kids & Teens On
Camera weekend audition workshop and/or Private Coaching. These are
semiprivate sessions, in which I bring in another actor(ess) and we
do semi-private scene-study, applying the preparation process applied
to a deeper exploration of acting for the camera, script analysis
and scene work. The cost for the four, 2 hr sessions is $399.00. These
sessions are at my home studio and the schedule is flexible.
